FAQ
The price of product animations depends on these key factors: overall complexity, overall length, and overall quality. For example, a zoomed-in animation of a pen is very different from a zoomed-in animation of a car engine. The duration of the animation takes into account more animated components and additional render time to render. The final quality can vary from fully photorealistic or simple 3D shading for a small budget. Simple animations generally start at the $1200 mark and increase from there as the above factors increase.
In order to provide you with an accurate quote, we need the following information:
- One brief description of your product or process you want to animate (you can tell us your website or attach photos)
- A simple bulleted script of what you would like to see in the animation
- Have Do you have access to 3D CAD models of your product?
- What is your preferred delivery time?
With this information we can Receive a quote very quickly.
The overall length of an animation is based on the story that needs to be told in order for the viewer to understand the product or process that is evolving. animated. This is the key!
Small projects usually have a turnaround time of 1-2 weeks. Larger and more complex projects may take 3-6 weeks or more depending on our current workload.
We accept any industry standard CAD software capable of exporting a STEP file of your product part or assembly. For example: SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Pro-Engineer to name a few!
Revisions are counted towards the estimate and are expected! An animation project with 3DProAni consists of several phases:
- Import phase -your 3D data is imported and we share some basic screenshots to ensureall components are included in the file. If components are missing, we will import new files again.
- Animation Design Phase: Weput together the motion and timing of the animation as it would look in the finished product, but the image quality is very basic at this point. We can do multiple revisions at this stage until we get it right.
- Final Render Approval: We’llsend you stills of key parts of the animation so you can see the actual lighting, textures, and materials. how they will appear in the final animation. Again, we can make changes and adjustments at this stage
. - FinalAnimation Rendering – This is when our computers work hard to create the finished animation frames.
This may take several days! It’s important that steps 2 and 3 are completed before this last step, as small changes at this point could be costly (e.g. “Can you make the orange part yellow instead?”)
- FinalDelivery: We edit all video titles, logos and other information before sending you the final product.
The animation is delivered in an mpeg4 file in HD resolution. We can also provide individual video frames when the animation is edited into a larger video project. As a value-added offer, we also enclose 6 still images of your choice in print resolution of the animation clip.
